Introduction

Welcome,

Many of us enjoy reading a good book and spend tons of energy, time, and money fishing for the perfect read. This site is designed to share, write, and publish great articles. Personally,  leadership authors such as Jack Welch, John Maxwell, and Tony Dungy has inspired me to write my own articles. This is the ideal site to collaborate with others who share that same vision of publishing good material.  I will be posting my first article soon and I can't wait to read others on the site. Just post a topic, blog and write; it's that easy. Click on comments link below to get started.

  5. Education must revisit it's core principals and determine if it is driven by standards or state assessments. It is evident that today's schools must incorporate social skills in today's Learning Objectives. We can no longer assume that students are coming to school with the skill sets to be productive citizens and leaders in our society. I am a firm believer that we must, "Teach the whole child." Maslow made it clear that we must nurture ones social, emotional, and psychological need in order for one to reach their full potential. Testing has consumed the majority of educators day, leaving little or no time to equip young people with the skill sets for the real world. States need to take another look at the scope and sequence of their curriculum and consider incorporating social skills as a requirement for all students. In doing so, I truly believe we can reduce the number of teenagers incarcerated and dropping out of school. Please tell me your thoughts??
